Hello! Thanks for visiting Freycinet Campground. We are...

Scally & BEck

We have owned and operated Freycinet Campground since 2017.

Both born and bred Tasmanians, Beck grew up just north of here in St Helens and Scally spent his summers holidaying at his Grandparent’s shack 15 minutes down the road in Coles Bay.

We live on site with Maggie and Ziggy the springer spaniels and love sharing this incredible, nature filled property with everyone who visits.

We love meeting locals and travellers alike, love a laugh and do our best to create a warm, welcoming and friendly experience for every single visitor.

Give us a call or drop us an email today!

FREYCINET CAMPGROUND

You'll find us at 961 Coles Bay Road, 1km south of the Friendly Beaches turn off.

About the area
The Freycinet Peninsula is well known for being an adventurer’s playground and is a popular destination for weekenders, holiday makers, shack owners and international visitors.

Coles Bay plays host to boat cruises, kayak tours, quad bike trips, fishing charters, SUP hire, water taxis, walks and cycling tracks.

What a fantastic spot! Campground is 10/10, dog and campfire friendly, really spread out and flat. Just a short walk to toilets and showers and the bar! Owners Beck and Scally are fantastic hosts and genuinely lovely people.

Beck and Scally were the hosts with the most. They turned into my Tassie family and have absolutely made my experience. I’m 25 travelling alone and they made me feel so welcome, safe and made sure I had an absolutely fun filled experience. I couldn’t help but book again and again. Also best hot shower I had my whole trip!

The campground was large mostly flat and close to Coles Bay The owners were very friendly and their bar area was fantastic so if you want a great place to spend a few days of old fashion camping could not recommend a better spot
